Keep Your Young Child Entertained With These Preschool Learning Games
By Rolf Joho

Make education fun by introducing learning games to your preschooler.  With a few of the games below you can have fun with your child while they reinforce the fundamental building blocks of their education.

Preschool Learning Games To Enjoy With Your Child

To get a jump on your child’s reading abilities check out “Learning to Read! First Words Game.”  This game has a bunch of cards with colorful pictures on one side and the picture’s name on the other side.  Help your child to recognize words by using pictures to spark their memory.  This game has a second level for added value.  Each picture is also a puzzle that your child can build, further reinforcing what each word represents!

Have some fun teaching your child to count numbers with this learning game: “Treasures in the Sea: Counting up to 30+ Game.”  This game has several cards that each has a fun picture on it.  Your child will use these cards to count with and will receive a reward after counting to the number dictated in the game.

A great game to help stimulate your child’s mind is “Things That Go Together: Classifying Game.”  This learning game has several pieces

that can be sorted into fourteen groups with each group being similar in some type of way.  It is your child’s job to determine how they are similar and then group them accordingly.  An example of a grouping would be pieces that had a saw, hammer, and screw driver on them.

Flash cards are great learning games.  You can buy cards that have numbers on them as well as versions with the numbers written out.  This helps your child recognize numbers and words all in one shot.  You can also get creative and create your own flash cards at home.  You can use numbers or letters and for extra fun use pictures and words!

Introduce your child to a book of mazes.  These are great for children and help to strengthen their spatial recognition abilities.  Mazes come in many forms and you can even create them yourself.  Also try looking on the internet for mazes that you can print out for you child.  You can increase the difficulty of the maze as your child improves with them which will continue to challenge and entertain your child for hours!

With these fun games your child is sure to be captivated with learning.  What better time than now to create a positive outlook on their education.
